Hi, I'm Lauren! (she/they)
Have you been stuck in a restrict-binge cycle, yo-yo dieting, or feel like your relationship with food and your body is driven by fear? If you're ready to break this cycle, I'm here to help you make peace with food and move toward body acceptance. I am a queer-identified provider who is focused on supporting folks who struggle with disordered eating/eating disorders, difficult body image, trauma, depression, and/or sexual or gender identity. I am Intuitive Eating-certified, Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned, and committed to fat liberation. In addition to individual counseling, I offer two counseling groups: Teen Group (age 14-18) and Genderqueer Group (for trans/nonbinary/questioning adults age 18+).
I believe that all people are deserving of compassion and unconditional acceptance. My goal as your counselor is to create a space where you can practice vulnerability and radical self-acceptance without fear of judgement.
In my free time you can catch me going for a run or a hike with my dog, whipping up something tasty in the kitchen, cuddled up with a book (and my cats), belting along to Taylor Swift songs, playing board games, or knitting up a storm. I also love to meet new people and to hear their stories -- I look forward to hearing yours!
